Jancik oversees the department's student athlete services and life skills programs, working in conjunction with academic advisor Molly Kaffka and the life skills coordinator. In addition, she actively promotes and develops academic enrichment opportunities for Siena's student-athletes, including internships, participation in undergrad research, independent study, and original programming.
A graduate of Butler University with a double major in History and International Studies, Jancik earned a fellowship at the University of Maryland, where she completed her Master's degree in French History. She also obtained her New York State Teacher Certification at Siena in 2008. To encourage student athletes to avail themselves of extracurricular academic and professional pursuits, she draws upon her experience in Washington, DC, as a policy analyst for a Japanese trade association and as the Special Projects Coordinator for the four international museums within the Smithsonian Institution.
Lori can often be found at Siena home games trying to keep her six-year-old daughter, Elinor, from wanting to be part of the game.
