The Siena College athletic department released its new family of logo
marks at the annual basketball "Sneak Preview" Monday night at Pepsi
Arena. The department worked with Phoenix Design to arrive at the final
New York City based Phoenix Design has recently executed logo design and
identity programs for University of Arkansas, Southern Illinois
University, Indianapolis Speedway (2002 Indy 500, 2002 Brickyard 400 and
the 2002 United States Grand Prix), The 2002 Breeders' Cup, a multitude
of collegiate conferences, MLB (Houston Astros, Cincinnati Reds, Florida
Marlins and Colorado Rockies) and new programming brands for ESPN and
"The family of logos we have developed will benefit us in many ways,"
noted Director of Athletics John D'Argenio. "From merchandising to
brand identity, our visibility in the region and the nation should grow.
Our hope too is that athletes, and fans alike, will cultivate an
affinity for the logo, and their pride in the College and its athletic
teams will be enhanced."
