July 1, 2008 LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Siena athletic department recently named Cori Rowe (Wynantskill, N.Y.) corporate sales manager. Rowe brings over 10 years of marketing & sales experience to Siena, offering specific expertise in sports marketing. At Siena, Rowe will be in charge of the corporate partners program. She will develop and sell marketing opportunities to businesses that will allow them to align themselves with Siena basketball and the department's other sports teams and activities. She will work with both Siena and the Times Union Center in marketing and selling Siena basketball to the corporate community. "We are fortunate to have had the opportunity to add Cori to our staff," said director of athletics John D'Argenio. "She has experience in marketing and corporate relations along with a strong Capital Region network. Over the past 10 years we have had the good fortune of growing our corporate partners program through the hard work of past corporate sales managers. Cori has the expertise to continue what has been started and the skills to help us grow the program and branch out with new and creative ideas." Previous to Siena, Rowe worked as a Community Relations Coordinator at MVP Health Care in Schenectady. She was responsible for steering company wide community relations and managed strategic corporate sponsorships within the entire service area including New York, Vermont and New Hampshire. Rowe has served in leadership roles with the Palace Performing Arts Center; City of Albany Office of Special events and Pepsi Arena (Times Union Center) for the Albany Firebirds, SMG, and the Albany Conquest arena football team where she built and implemented successful strategic marketing & sales initiatives. Rowe currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Albany Police Athletic League and is a professional graduate of the Schenectady County Chamber of Commerce `2007 Leadership Class.' Rowe began her professional career at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington as a Division I Assistant Women's Basketball Coach/Director of Basketball Operations. |
